Julius Baer enters strategic partnership to support UK and Ireland based entrepreneurs

Share

In supporting the Economic Disruptor Awards, recently launched by The Spectator magazine , and EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year programme, Julius Baer demonstrates its positioning as a competent partner for entrepreneurs in the region.

There is a strong culture of entrepreneurialism across the whole of the UK and Ireland. In October 2017 the FT reported that “other than the US, the UK is unrivalled as a place to start and grow a business” with over half a million new businesses launched in 2017 according to the Office of National Statistics. At Julius Baer, we have seen evidence of that with an increase in the number of business owners and individuals seeking advice and wealth solutions to support their needs as their businesses grow and evolve.

We have a strong belief that private businesses are crucial to further economic growth and we continue to believe in the long-term potential of this market. With this in mind, we are delighted to announce two important partnerships as we look to strengthen our relationships in this space. Both partnerships focus on celebrating the success of entrepreneurs.

Working with The Spectator, we have recently launched the Economic Disruptor Awards. Entrants to the awards may come from any sector or any corner of the United Kingdom but all will have a number of traits in common – they will have demonstrated innovation, be driven by people with real passion for what they do and if they haven’t already, they will have the potential to scale up from local to national and international areas. Rather like we have done at Julius Baer.

In Ireland we have partnered with EY to support the Entrepreneur of the Year programme. In its 21st year, this is an established programme working to recognise, promote and build a supportive community around Ireland’s high-growth entrepreneurs.

Our ambition is to support individuals achieve their long-term goals throughout the lifecycle of their entrepreneurial journey and we strongly believe that we are in a good position to do so.  Founded in Zurich in 1890, we offer a proud history of financial entrepreneurship. Now a global business, Julius Baer is a distinctive, fast-expanding player in the UK and Ireland wealth management scene and has an instinctive sympathy with businesses that bring new thinking and positive change to established markets.
