Jojoba - Namibia

Namib Desert Jojoba Oil Producers CC (NDJ) have successfully farmed Jojoba plants in Swakopmund, Namibia, since 2014. Their mission is to enable marginalised communities to grow Jojoba and become independent farmers who can sell their high-quality oil to clients (e.g. cosmetic makers) around the world.


IECD – Seeds of Hope in Morocco

The European Institute for Cooperation and Development (IECD) is a non-profit association founded in 1988. Through its Seeds of Hope programme, it supports vocational training for at-risk youth in various sectors – especially industry, energy, and maintenance. In Morocco, the programme has recently provided job training to nearly 1,000 young people, many of whom had previously dropped out of school.


ZEITZ Foundation, all female anti poaching ranch in Kenya

The Zeitz Foundation's mission is to create and support sustainable, ecological, and socially responsible projects to achieve long-term impacts through a holistic balance of conservation, community, culture, and commerce (the “4Cs”). It is currently setting up the first all-women anti-poaching and conservation ranger unit in East Africa, recruited from marginalised communities in Segera, Kenya.

Within the context of wealth inequality in South Africa’s wine industry, the equitable redistribution of resources and expertise will be fostered, thereby increasing the number of black wine producers in the industry. The youth apprenticeship programme provides a three-year vocational training to socially and economically disadvantaged and vulnerable youth. The apprenticeships are offered in trades such as tailoring, hairdressing, catering, welding, carpentry, auto mechanics and electrics.
