Singapore, 30 July 2026 — Julius Baer today announced the appointment of Nira Tanoko as Market Head South East Asia. Based in Singapore, Tanoko will report to Jimmy Lee, Member of the Global Wealth Management Committee and Region Head Asia and will join the Asia Management Committee, the Bank’s Asia leadership team.

In this role, Tanoko will lead Julius Baer’s South East Asia business, driving strategic growth while strengthening the Bank’s client franchise and talent base. She will oversee her teams serving high and ultra-high-net-worth clients across key South East Asian markets, and collaborate closely with product and investment specialists to deliver best-in-class solutions to clients.

Tanoko joins Julius Baer from Bank of Singapore, where she held the position of Market Head, Indonesia. With more than two decades in wealth management and over 25 years in banking, she has consistently led high-performing teams that have built and grown market-leading high- and ultra-high-net-worth client franchises across the region.

Commenting on the appointment, Lee said: “We are delighted to welcome Nira to Julius Baer. South East Asia remains a strategically important market with significant long-term growth potential. Nira’s deep understanding of the region, strong leadership capabilities and commitment to delivering exceptional client service make her well positioned to lead our South East Asia business into its next phase of growth.”

Tanoko added: “I am honoured to join Julius Baer at such a defining moment for South East Asia. The region presents compelling growth opportunities, and with the clear, dedicated leadership here, we are well positioned to capture it. I look forward to working closely with colleagues and the leadership team as we accelerate growth in South East Asia.”

Asia is Julius Baer’s second home market and continues to be a key driver of growth. The Bank remains committed to investing in its people, capabilities and platform to meet the evolving needs of high and ultra-high-net-worth clients across the region.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Julius Baer’s presence in Singapore and Hong Kong. As two of the Group’s seven booking centres and home to a quarter of its total workforce, these locations have grown into the second- and third-largest hubs outside Switzerland. The appointment of Tanoko underscores Julius Baer’s continued commitment to client-centric service, and long-term growth and success in the region.
