Also as of 1 January 2023, Josef (Sepp) Zellweger has started at Julius Baer to set up an area for advising Swiss non-profit foundations. He will report to Claude Luethi in this function. In addition, several relationship managers for the two teams will join the Bank.

Gilles Stuck, Head of Market Switzerland, Julius Baer, said: “I am very pleased that Claude Luethi and Sepp Zellweger will together with a team of proven relationship managers build and expand the Aargau and Solothurn market as well as our offering for non-profit foundations. They bring with them excellent track records and extensive experience. Both originally come from the top sports world and are used to delivering high performance. I am convinced that they will help us to serve our clients even better on a regional basis and to further develop our bespoke services in Switzerland.”

The steps taken to expand in the Swiss market follow Julius Baer’s strategic announcements to continuously recruit and develop front-office staff. The Bank has made further significant hires across Switzerland in recent weeks in various locations and areas.
