London, 10 December 2024 – Julius Baer International (UK) (“JBI”) announces the opening of a new presence in Glasgow as of December. The office will be located at 1 West Regent Street, Glasgow, G2 1RW.

The move is part of JBI’s regional expansion strategy and aims to support further growth in the Scottish market. In 2018, JBI opened its first office in Edinburgh as part of its commitment to offer a bespoke service to clients in Scotland. The Glasgow office will undertake investment advisory, and wealth planning advisory activities, as well as client relationship management activities, ensuring even higher proximity to clients in Scotland.

With regards to the firm’s broader regional presence in the UK, JBI is also looking to move into a bigger office in Leeds during the course of the first quarter of 2025. The new office will be at Globe Point, Leeds’s Temple district.

Both offices are also a reflection of JBI’s Sustainability commitments. Leeds achieves an EPC A energy performance and has been awarded a BREEAM Excellent certification having been fitted with state-of-the-art energy efficient lighting, heating, and cooling systems. Glasgow is also an EPC A energy rated location, employing 75% renewable energy, and has been independently certified as carbon neutral.

David Durlacher, CEO of JBI, commented: “We have teams across the UK who are close to our clients, their businesses and their families. Proximity is critical to our success which is why we have been determined to drive the investment and regional expansion in the UK during the past seven years, and we look forward to continuing to do so. We are very proud to announce the opening of our office in Glasgow, complementing our existing regional presences in Leeds, Manchester, Edinburgh, Belfast and Newcastle.”

Jonathan Dobbin, Head of UK Regions, added: “We look forward to building upon the success of our first Scottish office in Edinburgh and to be even closer to our clients. The development of Glasgow as a major UK financial hub is testament to the continued growth and innovation of businesses in Scotland and the wealth creation that has resulted. We are hugely excited to establish our second Scottish office and demonstrate our ongoing commitment to bringing our global expertise to the local UK market.”
