Lugano/Zurich, 25 June 2026 – Effective 1 September 2026, Riccardo Corzani will assume the role of Branch Manager in Lugano. In this capacity, he will lead all local operations and represent Julius Baer, alongside his current responsibilities as Market Head Italy & Ticino.
As Branch Manager Lugano, he succeeds Ettore Bonsignore, who will retire after seven years in leadership roles at Julius Baer covering the market Italy and Ticino, and, most recently, heading the Lugano branch. He concludes a distinguished career spanning more than 40 years in the wealth management sector.
Riccardo Corzani joined Julius Baer in September 2023, bringing extensive experience in wealth management and senior leadership roles at major Swiss and international banks. Since June 2025, he has served as Market Head Italy & Ticino at Julius Baer, a role that also encompasses the Group companies based in Milan, the Italian Branch of Bank Julius Baer Europe, and Julius Baer Fiduciaria S.p.A.
As Switzerland’s third-largest financial centre, Lugano plays a central role for Julius Baer and currently employs around 130 staff.
Carlos Recoder, Co-Head Western Markets & Switzerland of Bank Julius Baer, said: “Ettore Bonsignore has played a pivotal role in strengthening our position in the Italian-speaking markets in recent years. We thank him for his valuable contribution and wish him all the best in retirement. With Riccardo Corzani’s appointment, we are ensuring strong continuity in leadership of the Lugano branch. His broad client service expertise and strong local market knowledge position him well to lead our activities and represent Julius Baer in this key location.”
