Zurich, 10 June 2026 – Bank Julius Baer today announced plans to further develop its largest global office location in Zurich-Altstetten, strengthening the Bank’s footprint alongside its longstanding presence on Bahnhofstrasse and underscoring its continued commitment to Zurich and Switzerland as its home market.

The plans include expanding capacity and creating a modern workplace that supports flexible and collaborative ways of working, complemented by outdoor areas, shared spaces, and auditoriums. The aim is to create an attractive, modern, future ready work environment, which supports Bank Julius Baer’s position as an employer of choice.

The master plan, “Zürich-Altstetten, Standortentwicklung Hohlstrasse 600–612”, now approved by the City of Zurich, establishes the framework for the site’s future development. It defines key parameters around buildings, land use, and the design of open, publicly accessible spaces.

The project area encompasses Julius Baer properties at Hohlstrasse 602, 604, 606, and 608, as well as neighbouring properties owned by three other parties, where the Bank is a tenant. The master plan builds on a test planning process and was led by the Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron.

In the next phase, a design plan (“Gestaltungsplan”), translating the master plan into legally binding provisions, will be developed. This process will take place in dialogue with political representatives and the local community. Public consultation is expected during 2027, followed by submission to the Zurich City Council for approval.

Bank Julius Baer will decide on the potential implementation of a construction project only after completion of this phase.
