Five new relationship management and wealth planning professionals have been hired to propel Julius Baer’s growth in the UK market and provide local access to Julius Baer’s unique solutions
Zurich/London, 14 March 2018 — Today Julius Baer International announces five new hires to support business growth and regional expansion in the UK market. The new hires will work out of London and across new offices in Manchester, Leeds and Edinburgh. They complement the five strategic hires for Scotland which were announced in February 2018.

The new hires include:
Alex Charamblous joins from the Financial Executive team at Royal Bank of Canada, where he worked for 6 years. Prior to this Alex spent 8 years at JPMorgan, initially within the Investment Bank trading Exotic Equity Derivatives, before moving to Private Banking in 2003. In 2009 Alex was responsible for building out the Private Bank in San Diego California.
Duncan Prince brings 20 years of experience working in the Private Client arena based in Jersey, Channel Islands. Dedicated to high net worth individuals and families, he has spent the last ten years working as a Senior Private Banker with SG Hambros Private Bank and prior to this he managed similar client relationships with Citibank.
Daniel Ryan is an experienced Private Banker having worked for 16 years with Coutts, HSBC and RBC. Daniel has experience in partnering with a vast array of clients including Business Owners in the UK, Energy Specialists in Asia and Financial Executives across Europe.
Charles Kendrick was previously a Director at RBC Wealth Management specialising as an Investment Counsellor advising high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients. Based in London, Charles focused on portfolio management for private clients, trusts and corporate accounts on both a discretionary and advisory basis.
Darren Hirst joins as a Relationship Manager based in Leeds. He is an experienced Banker having worked at Barclays for over 29 years. He is dedicated to advising High Net worth clients and their families which he did with Barclays Wealth and investment management as a Private Banker for the last 11 years. Darren will be based in the new Leeds office and will service clients predominately in the Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire area.
