The revised Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (“MiFID II”) and the Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation (“MiFIR”) constitute an EU legislative framework that aims to strengthen investor protection and to improve the functioning of financial markets by making them more efficient, resilient and transparent.
