Information of the remuneration system of Bank Julius Bär Deutschland AG according to the regulation on the supervisory requirements for institutions’ remuneration systems, sec. 16, as of 16 December 2013:
Bank Julius Bär Deutschland AG employed 203 permanent employees as of 31 December 2023 (including the members of the Executive Board).
In addition to fixed salaries, it also granted these employees variable remuneration, which was paid out in February 2024. The amount of variable remuneration depends on the bank’s business performance and the individual performance of the employees.
Variable remuneration is generally discretionary for all employees. For relationship managers employed in Private Banking, the bonus is calculated on the basis of financial and non-financial performance.
For permanent employees, including the members of the Executive Board of Bank Julius Bär Deutschland AG, the total amount of remuneration in 2023 (as of February 2024) is EUR 34.23 million, with the fixed portion amounting to EUR 22 million.
Ombudsman Scheme
The Bank Julius Bär Deutschland AG participates in the dispute resolution scheme run by the consumer arbitration body “The German Private Banks’ Ombudsman” (www.bankenombudsmann.de). Consumers may have any disputes with the Bank resolved by the Ombudsman. Where disputes concerning a payment services contract (Section 675f of the German Civil Code (Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch)) are involved, customers who are not consumers also may request their resolution by the Ombudsman. Further details are contained in the “Rules of Procedure for the German Private Banks´ Ombudsman”, which are available on request or can be downloaded from the Internet at www.bankenombudsmann.de.
