From boutique to benchmark, we have grown into the largest pure-play wealth manager in Asia, guided by long-term relationships, forward-looking perspectives, and a belief in creating value beyond wealth for families across generations. This same philosophy is reflected in our longstanding support for the arts.

Championing artistic journeys across Asia

Art has the unique ability to inspire conversation, broaden perspectives, and connect communities. At Julius Baer, we deeply recognise the transformative power of art and are committed to supporting artists throughout their creative journey. Through strategic partnerships and active engagement with leading cultural platforms, we bring the ideas and voices shaping the future of contemporary art to wider society.

In a region defined by cultural diversity and creative dynamism, this commitment has become an integral part of the Julius Baer's DNA.

A dedicated partner to Asia’s leading art platforms

Over the years, Julius Baer has strengthened its presence in the art world through meaningful collaborations with some of Asia’s most influential art fairs and organisations.

As a dedicated partner of Art Jakarta (Lead Partner for the fifth year), ART TAIPEI (Official Partner for the fourth consecutive year), and ART021 SHANGHAI (Brand Partner), we support platforms that foster meaningful connections among artists, galleries, collectors, and communities, creating opportunities for dialogue, discovery, and exchange. In addition, our Julius Baer dedicated VIP lounge at each art fair offers a meeting place for hospitality, art tours and for our guests to engage with collaborating artists and their works. These partnerships reflect our conviction that promoting cultural innovation enriches society and contributes to its long-term vibrancy.

This year, the Julius Baer VIP Lounge presents a special collaboration with Handiwirman Saputra (b. 1975), one of Indonesia's most internationally recognised contemporary artists. Based in Yogyakarta, Handiwirman is renowned for transforming everyday materials into compelling works of art. His recent ‘Penampang Taut Berpilin’ series and his Sari Tanah artwork were featured at the lounge from 2-4 October 2026.

This year, we are honoured to present ‘Gate of Oriental’, an iconic series by Professor LIAO Shiou-Ping, a pioneer of modern Taiwanese art and a leading figure in printmaking. His artworks will be exhibited at the Julius Baer VIP lounge, 29 October – 2 November 2026.

Presenting ‘Twenty Years: Review and Reveal’ and a series of artworks by contemporary artist Jiang Miao, a renowned artist who was awarded the Golden Medal at the Florence Biennale. Her work will be showcased at the Julius Baer VIP lounge, 11 – 14 November 2026.

Together, these partnerships demonstrate a commitment not only to preserving artistic excellence but also to encouraging the next generation of creative pioneers.

The Julius Baer Art Collection

At the heart of the Bank’s cultural engagement is the Julius Baer Art Collection, established in 1981 under the leadership of Hans J. Baer (1927-2011). The collection comprises a comprehensive selection of contemporary Swiss art that numbers over 5000 pieces, spanning a wide array of media. Paintings, sculptures, photographs, videos, graphics, and drawings are displayed in Julius Baer's meeting rooms, staff restaurants, offices, foyers, and corridors around the globe.

The collection reflects the belief that art in the workplace offers a wonderful starting point for conversation. Today, the works continue to engage and intrigue both employees and visiting clients.

Looking ahead

As Julius Baer marks 20 years in Asia, our commitment to the arts remains unwavering. By supporting artists, collaborating with leading cultural institutions, and championing innovation through meaningful initiatives, we continue to celebrate the creative spirit that shapes the future. Through these efforts, we reaffirm our belief in the power of art to inspire conversation, foster connections, and enrich communities across the region.
