Recruitment process

Yes, we use video interview on demand for certain job profiles. Also, most of our first round interviews are held virtually via Cisco Webex.

After you have submitted your online application, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail. Your application will then be reviewed and assessed by the responsible recruiter and the hiring manager. If your profile is of interest to us, we will contact you to schedule an interview. You can expect to receive feedback about your application no matter what the outcome is.

For certain jobs, we might request a video application. (Graduate positions, internships or positions that require the ability to present in front of people)

Generally, your application will be reviewed within the first few days of receipt. However, this depends on the number of applications received. The recruiter and the hiring manager will assess your application against the job requirements. The time required for the review can vary. For some jobs we have an application deadline. The information about that will be in the respective advertisement. In this case the screening will start after the deadline.

The graduate positions are available in various international locations. Detailed information can be found in the respective job advertisement

Please ensure you hold a valid work permit for the country you are applying for or are authorised to work in your preferred country.

Apprentices

Apprentices are looked after and supported in the workplace by their on-the-job trainers. Our apprentices also have a personal coach whom they can approach with problems or questions. The Head of Young Talents is someone else they can contact at any time. Our support model allows us to give every individual apprentice our personal attention.

Throughout their training, apprentices will be placed at different sites and in different areas of Julius Baer. These ‘practical placements’ provide on-the-job training in various departments and usually last six months.

Doing an apprenticeship at a successful, international private bank is something special in itself. Our international environment makes foreign languages, especially English, very important and means that they can be used every day. The informal and modestly sized team of apprentices and supervisors gives people the opportunity to develop new friendships. In addition, our apprentices can benefit from a great deal of internal development courses and events.

Yes, we wish to have all our apprentices in a BMS class.

All our apprentices are located in Zurich.

It is our goal to keep all apprentices who have successfully passed their final exam after the apprenticeship programme.
