Tony Crawley
Head of Private Banking

Tony joined Julius Baer in 2004, having previously worked for Rothschild Asset Management in Guernsey for 8 years. Tony moved to Guernsey in 1985, having started his career with NatWest, where he spent 20 years. He heads the Private Banking Department in Guernsey and is a member of the Branch Management Board. Tony is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (now the London Institute of Banking & Finance). He holds an Institute of Directors Diploma in Corporate Direction.
 

Jean-Luc Le Tocq
Head of Relationship Management

Jean-Luc joined Julius Baer in 2016 and heads one of the Relationship Management teams. He began his career at Credit Suisse in 1989 as a graduate trainee based in Guernsey before working for the company in Switzerland and the United States. He returned to Guernsey in 1995 and held various management positions in Asset Management and Relationship Management before becoming a member of the Executive Board of Credit Suisse (Channel Islands) Limited, where he was responsible for Relationship Management and Investment Advisory. He held this position for 13 years before joining Julius Baer. Jean-Luc is a graduate of the University of St Andrews, Scotland. He is professionally qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (now the London Institute of Banking & Finance) and is a CISI Chartered Wealth Manager.
 

Christine Potter
Relationship Manager

Christine joined Julius Baer in 2016 after a 20-year career in Relationship Management at Credit Suisse. She has worked in the finance industry since 1987, starting in the City of London and moving to Guernsey in 1993. Her international background, broad experience, and investment expertise have enabled her to build successful long-term relationships with private clients and their advisors based in Guernsey, London, and other locations. Born in the Lebanon, Christine is fluent in French and Italian. She graduated from the University of London with a BSc (Hons) degree in Mathematics from King's College and a Master's degree in Management Science from Imperial College. Professionally, she is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (now London Institute of Banking & Finance) and completed the Institute of Directors Certificate in Corporate Direction in 2014.
 

Stefano Bruschini
Relationship Manager

Stefano joined Julius Baer in 2016 having spent the previous 9 years in Relationship Management at Credit Suisse in Guernsey. Born in Italy, Stefano is fluent in English, Italian, and German. He holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Genoa and moved to Guernsey in 1992. He has worked in the finance industry and has more than 20 years of experience dealing with High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth clients. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Stefano was Head of the Private Banking team at another Swiss bank in Guernsey. Stefano is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and a CISI Chartered Wealth Manager.
 

Tim Bichard
Relationship Manager

Tim joined Julius Baer in August 2016 as a relationship manager. He began his career as a graduate trainee with Credit Suisse in 1997, working in both Guernsey and Dubai. He became a relationship manager in 2001 and left in 2005 to join a financial advisory firm in Brussels, Belgium, where he qualified as an international advisor with the Chartered Insurance Institute. He re-joined Credit Suisse in Guernsey in 2008 where he took on a variety of roles, which included leading a team of relationship managers. Tim is a graduate of Loughborough University, a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), and a CISI Chartered Wealth Manager.
 

Andy Phillips
Relationship Manager

Andy joined Julius Baer in 2016 with over 30 years of experience in the banking industry, the last 20 of which have been in Guernsey. Before joining Julius Baer he performed the same Senior Relationship Management role at Credit Suisse and Kleinwort Benson locally. Prior to this, Andy worked for Barclays in the UK as a corporate manager where he gained a strong background in credit. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), a CISI Chartered Wealth Manager and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (now the London Institute of Banking & Finance). His focus is working with and providing services for locally based clients, UK-resident, non-domiciled individuals, and their professional advisors.

Craig Allen
Head of Investment Management

Craig is Head of Discretionary Management at Julius Baer in Guernsey and a managing director. He is based on the island and is responsible for all discretionary portfolios managed locally. Prior to joining Julius Baer, Craig spent 8 years at Credit Suisse where he served on four different boards across the UK and Guernsey. For 5 of these years, Craig headed up the Portfolio Management business in the UK, Channel Islands, and Gibraltar. Craig holds a First-Class BSc (Hons) degree in Mathematics and French from the University of Exeter and is a CISI Chartered Wealth Manager.
 

Grant Mellor
Investment Management

Grant is currently a portfolio manager at Julius Baer in Guernsey where he has been managing Multi-Asset Class Mandates for both discretionary and advisory portfolios since joining Julius Baer in 2004. Prior to working with Julius Baer, Grant was a portfolio manager at Butterfield Bank for 5 years and a broker at Matheson Securities for one year. Grant holds a BA (Hons) degree in History from the University of Winchester, is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), and holds the Investment Advice Diploma and Investment Management Certificate.
 

Derek Beatty
Investment Management

Derek is a portfolio manager with particular expertise in managing multi-asset class portfolios. He has many years of experience in the research and selection of third-party mutual funds across various sectors and asset classes. He joined Julius Baer in early 2016, having started his career back in 2002 at the Guernsey actuarial firm BWCI Group. In 2005, he moved to Credit Suisse and over an 11-year period worked in their Wealth Management Division in Guernsey, London, and Sydney, Australia. Derek became a CFA Charterholder in 2006; he holds a Master's degree in Corporate Finance and Accounting from University College Cork, Ireland, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Dublin, Ireland.
 

Peter van der Schagt
Investment Management

Peter is currently a portfolio manager at Julius Baer in Guernsey. Since joining the Bank in 2008, he has been involved in managing Multi-Asset Class Mandates for discretionary and advisory relationships. Before joining Julius Baer, Peter was a portfolio manager at MeesPierson for 5 years and at Butterfield Bank for the following 8 years. Peter is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) and holds the Investment Advice Diploma.
 

Sam Grayland
Investment Management

Sam is a portfolio manager at Julius Baer in Guernsey. He manages portfolios for a variety of clients including insurance companies, private clients, trusts, and pension funds. Prior to joining Julius Baer, Sam worked at Credit Suisse in London and then in Guernsey from 2004 to 2016, holding a variety of positions within Investment Banking and Wealth Management. Sam holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Mathematics from the University of Exeter and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI). He holds the CISI Diploma and is a CISI Chartered Wealth Manager.
