Information of the remuneration system of Bank Julius Bär Deutschland AG according to the regulation on the supervisory requirements for institutions’ remuneration systems, sec. 16, as of 16 December 2013:

Bank Julius Bär Deutschland AG granted all 192 permanent employees (including the two members of the Executive Board) variable compensation in addition to their fixed compensation for the financial year 2019 (as of May 2020). The amount of the variable portion of compensation is dependent upon the success of the Bank’s operations and the individual success of the employee.

In the Private Banking area, the variable compensation is partly a discretionary bonus and partly a formula-based, performance-related variable bonus where the primary compensation parameter of the latter is newly acquired money and profit contribution. In the other business areas only discretionary bonuses are paid.

For all permanent employees and members of the Executive Board of Bank Julius Bär Deutschland AG the total amount of compensation in 2019 (as of May 2020) was € 28.2 million, whereby the fixed portion amounted to € 19.45 million.

Details are governed by the “Rules of Procedure for the Settlement of Customer Complaints in the German Banking Sector” which are provided upon request or can be retrieved from the Internet under en.bankenverband.de.

Complaints are to be submitted in written form (e. g. in a letter, fax or email) and sent to the Kundenbeschwerdestelle (Customer Complaints Office) at the Bundesverband deutscher Banken e. V.
