Julius Baer’s ambitious training programme offers you the opportunity to obtain a Federal VET Diploma as a bank clerk, IT professional focusing on system technology or ICT specialist.

During your time as an apprentice in one of these areas, you will:

  • Receive comprehensive training

  • Develop your overall skills to be prepared for a career in banking at Julius Baer

Training as a bank clerk
 

Gain practical experience and training to conduct daily business in banking

During the three-year training course, you will take classes two days a week at the KV Business School in Zurich and will spend 30 days at the Centre for Young Professionals in Banking (CYP) to learn the theory of banking. You will also undertake practical placements in six different departments of our Bank, which will enable you to further develop your newly acquired theoretical knowledge and apply it in real-life situations. These training units and courses will enable you to attain the knowledge and practical skills you will need to advance in banking.

  • Julius Baer offers eight apprenticeship placements.
  • Applications for the beginning of the apprenticeships in summer 2019 can be placed from mid-July 2018.
  • The bank clerk training programme takes three years.

IT apprenticeship with a focus on system technology & ICT specialist

Gain practical experience and training to conduct daily business in IT

The IT apprenticeship (with a focus on system technology) and the apprenticeship qualifying you as an ICT specialist will provide you with a sound knowledge of your chosen field of IT. You will complete your training with a Federal VET Diploma. These two ICT apprenticeships will give you the knowledge and practical skills needed for a successful career in IT at Julius Baer.

Apprenticeship placements

  • Julius Baer offers two IT apprenticeship placements, one with a focus on system technology and one for a budding ICT specialist. Applications for the beginning of the apprenticeships in summer 2019 can be placed from mid-July 2018.
  • The training programme in IT with a focus on system technology takes four years.
  • The ICT specialist training programme takes three years.
