Declaration on Protection of Personal Information

We have taken measures to protect customers’ information and set the declaration on protection of personal information as follows. 

  1. In Conformity to Applicable Laws and Regulations
    We comply with Personal Information Protection Law, the other applicable laws and regulations relating to the protection of personal information, the guidelines from state minister in charge and the authorized association on protection of personal information, and our declaration on protection of personal information. 
  2. Purpose of Usage
    We will handle customers’ personal information within the scope of the usage purpose, except for cases where there is consent from the customer and the special treatment by the applicable laws and regulations.
    In addition, as per the separate attachment of “Purpose of Usage of Customer’s Personal Information”, the usage purpose shall be posted in our main office. The usage purpose is also posted on media that is accessible by customers such as the homepage. 
  3. Safety Management Measures
    We endeavor to ensure the accuracy of customers’ personal information and regulatory update details. Furthermore, in order to prevent a leak of customers’ personal information, we enforce necessary and appropriate safety management measures. Supervision will also be made in cases where our employee(s) is/are involved or we delegate to third-parties.
  4. Ongoing Improvements
    We will undertake periodical reviews of the declaration of protection of personal information and endeavor to constantly improve our practices to ensure appropriate treatment of customers’ personal information.
  5. Procedures on Disclosure Request
    We will make an appropriate and timely response regarding the identity of the customer in cases where a request comes from the customer relating to the disclosure, correction, or discontinuation of his/her personal data.

  7. Certified Entity of Personal Information Protection
    We are a member of the Japan Investment Advisors Association (“JIAA”) as an authorised Personal Information Protection Organisation, certified by Japanese Financial Services Agency. Purpose of Usage of Customer’s personal Information

We will handle customers’ information within the scope of the following business content and the usage purpose.

1. Business Content

① Discretionary Investment Management Business pursuant to Article 2, Paragraph 8, Item 12(b) of the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act (“FIEA”)

② Investment Advisory Business pursuant to Article 2, Paragraph 8, Item 11 of the FIEA

③ The ancillary business to businesses ① and ② described above.

2. Purpose of Usage

① For the purpose of Discretionary Investment Management Business and Investment Advisory Business and/or other service provision according to FIEA

② For the purpose of Discretionary Investment Management Business  and Investment Advisory Business and/or other service provision of our company, our affiliates and our alliances, etc.

③ For the purpose of judgment of the appropriateness of the products and/or services to offer to the customers in terms of “Suitability Principle”.

④ For the purpose of identification of the customer itself or its proxy

⑤ For the purpose of responding to the customer’s requests and/or inquiries.  

⑥ For the purpose of administering to the service to provide with the customer.

⑦ For the purpose of research and development of the financial instruments and service by way of the market survey, data analysis, and questionnaire enforcement. 

⑧ For the purpose of performing the duties of the entrusted business in cases where we are entrusted by the other financial instruments business operators to proceed the whole or a part of the personal information processing operations

⑨ As other purposes, for the purpose of providing the customer with our service in an appropriate and efficient manner

According to the Cabinet Office Ordinance on Financial Instruments Business etc., as to the information on race, creed, family status, domicile, social security, and criminal records, etc. and other special undisclosed information, we will never use or provide the third-parties for the purpose of other than the purposes of performing the appropriate business operations and other deemed necessary purposes.
