The Prix de Lausanne is an international competition for dancers aged 15 to 18 which was founded in 1973.Every year, the world’s most talented young dancers compete for the Prix de Lausanne to win one of the precious training scholarships which give them access to the finest ballet schools and companies in the world. The prime objective of this unique event is to discover, promote, and support talents. Seven prize winners receive scholarships. Julius Baer offers one of this 'Prix de Lausanne Scholarship'.
The Bank is proud to be a partner of the Prix de Lausanne for the fifth consecutive year. This competition epitomizes the values we are driven by such as Excellence, and in guiding young talent we are happy help enable them to improve their art. This famous event whose reputation is international gives us an interesting opportunity to invite privileged guests to the final and this sponsorship beginning in 2008 gives us also the possibility to invite the scholarship winner for private Julius Baer events. The Julius Baer scholarship winner of 2012 is Canadian dancer Patricia Zhou, aged 17, who studies at the Kirov Academy of ballet in Washington D.C.
