Putting theory into practice: Your career opportunities as a university graduate
Training fitted to your needs
The Julius Baer Graduate Program lasts 24 months, comprising two nine-month and one six-month assignment. Besides practical work, it includes focused training sessions specific to Julius Baer in which we make you more aware of our company philosophy and the technical expertise behind our banking business.
Start your career in one of our four Graduate Functions:
As a Junior Relationship Manager you support a Team of Relationship Managers in client acquisition and retention. At the beginning, you will acquire experience as an assistant and later work as a Junior Relationship Manager. You will spend nine of the 24 months in an interface area (Trading or Investment Solutions) to acquire in-depth knowledge of our product and process range. The objective is to develop into a Relationship Manager with your own client portfolio. Six months of specialization (optional in a foreign office) will support you in becoming a professional.
As a Junior Investment Specialist you work nine months in both our Trading Department as well as our Investment Solutions Department. You will get in-depth knowledge of our product range, especially with regard to marketing, distribution and sales. In the second assignment, research activities and portfolio management are part of your day-to-day responsibility. Six months of specialization (optional in a foreign office) will support you in becoming an Investment Specialist.
In this position you will be working within the Business Management team of two different Corporate Functions or the Front. This cross-functional approach supports you in getting to know the value chain of the Bank. Your main responsibilities will be controlling tasks, data analysis, creating reports and management presentations, project work and process improvements – always in close collaboration with the Management. After having completed the two nine-month assignments, the six-month specialization (optional in a foreign office) will support you in becoming a professional.
As a Junior Systems Engineer and Software Developer you are responsible for the specification, design, development, implementation and maintenance of systems and software solutions. Being part of this innovative environment your first assignment will take place within IT Engineering. Here you acquire know-how that is essential for working in Application Development (front or back office applications). The following six months of specialization (optional in a foreign office) will support you in becoming a professional in your field of expertise.
You will work in a position with responsibility from day one and will receive support from a mentor all along.
Your success is our progress.
