The renowned prize is one of the industry’s most coveted honours. The award ceremony took place on 18 September 2008 in the Watch making Museum (MIH) in La Chaux-de-Fonds (Switzerland). Julius Baer supports this award since 2007 and allows its enhancement and realignment.
In the category ‘entrepreneur spirit’, Nicolas G. Hayek was awarded for his immense contribution in the Swiss watch making industry. At the same time, a talented emerging watch maker received a scholarship sponsored by Julius Baer.
The jury consisted of representatives of Bank Julius Baer, the International Watch making Museum as well as of specialist teachers and leading experts of the watch making industry.
Moreover, Julius Baer had the chance to present the MIH director Ludwig Oechslin as a new advertising visual in its ‘What is Excellence’ campaign.
