For 120 years, one of the core values of Julius Baer has been to promote personal contact with people in an intensive and honest manner that works to their advantage. A natural consequence of this is our active support for the arts, youth development, science and social issues. A part of this corporate commitment is fulfilled by the Julius Baer Foundation. Its clear objectives and broad personal support from the Board of Trustees guarantees the Foundation's independence as well as its professional operation and high standards.
Profit is not the only measure of success
The Julius Baer Foundation was established in 1965, for the occasion of the 75 years jubilee of the bank. Originally set up to address a variety of commitments, since 2001 the main focus has been on projects devoted to "Youth". The Foundation also supports selected scientific and cultural undertakings as well as charitable projects.
On January 1, 2007, the Julius Baer Cultural Foundation (formerly the EvE Cultural Foundation), with its focus on the visual arts, was integrated into the Julius Baer Foundation. In this way, today we also promote creative individuals as well as institutions from every branch of the arts, particularly in German-speaking Switzerland. Since its establishment, the commitment of the Julius Baer Foundation has borne a great deal of fruit each year, and it fills us with pride and joy.

In times of need, where health, education and nutrition are not taken for granted, we have decided to support international projects for the benefit of children, youths and young adults.
The Swiss Exhibition Award: a jointeffort by A further commitment of the Julius Baer Foundation and the Federal Office of Culture (FOC)
An important initiative of the Julius Baer Foundation is the Swiss Exhibition Award, which was jointly granted with the Federal Office of Culture for the first time in 2009. This new prize is awarded to recognize special merit in organizing and running art exhibitions and thus the wider stewardship of contemporary art.
Swiss Photo Award – ewz.selection: a new commitment of the Julius Baer Foundation
ewz.selection, which is known as the Swiss platform for contemporary photography, and the Julius Baer Foundation enter into a new award partnership. The Julius Baer Foundation presents the price in the category Fine Arts. In addition, the Art Commission of the Bank Julius Baer will acquire a photographic work.

The Julius Baer Foundation regularly reviews new projects in the areas just listed. We would also like to examine your proposal for a sponsorship. The application deadlines are at the end of the months January and July, but we are glad to review applications for smaller amounts at any time.
