Julius Baer Art Collection

The distinctive feature of the Julius Baer Group art collection is its diversity. By focusing on works of contemporary Swiss artists, it has been possible to build up a representative collection over the years.

The Julius Baer art collection is devoted to the works of young artists, most of whom were unknown at the time their works were bought. The collection should be understood as a means of promoting artistic endeavor.

The 3000-plus exhibits have been assembled over many years and the collection constantly receives requests for loans to exhibitions.

In 1981 an art commission was formed; its members are company employees interested in art, assisted by an art expert from the local art scene. The commission is responsible for buying new works. A curator has the job of looking after and presenting the works of art.
